I've been married for almost 30 years (since 1978) to Jerry Stenstrom - a 1966 graduate of Vicksburg. We have one daughter, Abby, who is attending cosmetology school. Jerry is also musical, and over the years we have sung together at weddings, church services, and the like. I still play piano, but mostly for church.
I worked as a secretary at the Upjohn Company before our daughter came along. I was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom during her growing up years. Now I keep busy doing medical transcription work from home, teaching the occasional piano student, and I am also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. (For those o...Expand for more
f you who don't know, that's rubber stamping and scrapbooking. I finally found my "artistic" side - besides music, that is!)
We've pretty much lived in this area since high school - going no farther than Three Rivers, and we currently live in the Schoolcraft area. My husband's "hobby" has been building us houses. He's built three, doing everything including plumbing, wiring, framing (his favorite), etc. (which meant I did things like clean up, painting, staining, and other little jobs). No, that is NOT his day job - he actually worked at Upjohn/Pharmacia/Pfizer for 30 years before taking an early retirement this year. Now he is working as a Primerica financial consultant.
So that's pretty much my life since high school.
